Granite Regular Grade

Regular grade granite is often termed “commercial grade.” Though mid- or high-grade slabs are sold at a thickness of either 3/4 inch or 1 1/4 inch, a low-grade granite slab is usually of a thinner cut, such as 3/8 inch. Its colors are not unusual, and it often requires a piece of plywood backing for additional strength. Imported from China, regular grade granite costs from $40 to $60 per square foot, at publication.
